La tripulación del Macaronesia preparando la carrera

The Macaronesia team has started the World Championship of ORC really well. Their results can drive them directly to their goals. The team wants to finish the competition in the TOP20. After two days of tournament they are in the 12th position in the general classification.

They started the race with the worst handicap: a whole year without competing. During the first two days they’ve had bad beginnings. Even so, their desire of success and their fight spirit, has make them get back in. The first day, Maca15 was the 17th vessel which crossed the finish line. It had to overtake 20 watercrafts. During the second day of the competition, they got the 10th position.

It is the first time Macaronesia team participates in this championship which has beat its personal bests. 105 vessels from 23 countries participate this year.

To offer the best of their versions, the team has been trained and prepared hard. Moreover, their watercraft has been improved compared to Maca14. It has been made lighter and it has got important technical recoveries.

Macromesia aims high and believes in its possibilities to achieve better results than it expected before the competition started. This year the team is going to repeat in Copa del Rey the first week of August in Barcelona. The team’s goal is to win Carintians Cup. Furthermore, they are going to participate in two classic races for this team. They are going to compete in Trofeo de Asturias (September, Las Palmas) and Infanta Cristina (October, Tenerife).
